PI: H. Lee Sweeney, PhD, University of Florida
PI: Elizabeth McNally, MD, PhD, Northwestern University
The Administrative Core has five major aims:
- To provide a centralized administrative facility for the entire MDCRC
- To provide scientific leadership to the entire MDCRC
- To facilitate interactions between the investigators of the MDCRC
- To administer both NIH and non-NIH funds supporting the Center
- To organize the bi-annual international meeting (“New Directions“) for the muscular dystrophy community
- The Administrative Core (Core A) is a shared resource of the Center and plays a central role in facilitating our investigations. This core provides a centralized administrative facility for the entire MDCRC and provides scientific leadership to the MDCRC. Core A also facilitates interactions between the investigators of the MDCRC by arranging telephone and video conferencing, as well as annual face-to-face meetings. The Administrative Core administers all funding support for the Center. It also will assist in organizing the bi-annual international meeting (“New Directions”) for the muscular dystrophy community that Drs. Sweeney and McNally direct.
