We ask that conference participants book hotel accommodations at the Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort. A discounted rate has been negotiated for our conference and we can incur penalty if our room commitment is not met. We have also negotiated a waived resort fee, reduced parking fee, and complimentary guest and meeting room Wi-Fi, only available to our New Directions guests staying at the hotel. Additionally, our discounted room rate will be available to you 3 days pre and post our event if you would like to stay awhile longer (subject to availability). Please identify yourself as a “New Directions” participant for the discounted conference rate and benefits.
Transportation/Airports:
The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL) Airport is ~8 miles form the hotel which should be approximately 30 minutes by car depending on traffic conditions.
The Miami Airport (MIA) is ~35 miles from the hotel but travel times will vary significantly based on time of travel and traffic conditions. There is a train (Brightline) that travels from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, as well as Tri-Rail which connects directly from the MIA airport to 2 stops in Ft. Lauderdale. The “Fort Lauderdale” stop is slightly closer to the hotel than the Fort Lauderdale Airport stop, but both are with 6-8 miles of the hotel.
