Traces of tetanic contractions from healthy (C57) and diseased (mdx) muscles. The top traces are normalized by the muscle cross sectional area and demonstrate that mdx muscles are weaker than C57 muscles. The bottom traces are absolute forces and not normalized, and demonstrate that comparing absolute forces may not provide thorough information.
